Arkansas Art Pottery: Art, Tradition and Industry
Combining the artistry of filmmaking with the artistry of this exhibit’s subject matter; American Art Pottery. During the early 20th century decorative potteries quickly sprang up around the country. The influx of experienced and talented potters, designers, ceramists, and artisans coupled with Arkansas’s massive clay supply encouraged the development of three well known pottery companies within the state. A series of documentary short videos and visual content interprets hundreds of art pottery and is displayed in an interactive touch-screen kiosk within the exhibit.
