

This documentary short provides an overview of the many African-Americans that contributed to the rich history of the state and country. Each year in October, the foundation honors black Arkansans with a gala highlighting their life long achievements. Notable Arkansans such as Louis Jordan, Maya Angelo, William Grant Still, Anita Pointer, Johnny Taylor and many others have been inducted as honorees into the hall of fame. On display at the Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, this video is artistically woven with interviews, archival photos and gala footage, and music.
