This traveling exhibit shares the hands-on experience of harvesting crops. A child or adult climbs into the cab of an actual combine. The cab has been removed from the combine chassis and mounted on a small, maneuverable trailer. The front window has been replaced with a flat screen TV, and instructions for guests appear on the attract loop on-screen, with options for selecting various crops such as wheat, rice, and cotton. With the push of a button the combine comes to life, vibrating with ambient audio.
The guest is treated to a behind-the-wheel perspective of harvest time as a narrator provides information. Conservative estimates enlist as many as 500,000 visitors have experienced this interactive combine simulator and is still going strong
