Sam Dellinger: Raiders of the Lost Arkansas
An exhibit honoring the state’s first archeologist, first anthropologist, and the father of the University of Arkansas Museum. Eidson created interpretive videos experienced via interactive touch-screens sharing Sam Dellinger’s quest to protect the state’s heritage. Theme-inspired by the hit movie Raiders of the Lost Ark, a blend of archeologist interviews, archival photos, illustrations, narration, and rich audio are used to tell Dellinger’s story. “Imagine my chagrin when I visited such museums as the Peabody at Harvard; the National at Washington, D.C.; the University of Michigan; or the Heye Museum of the American Indian at New York and found that their finest and most valuable Indian displays had been sent from Arkansas,” – Sam Dellinger, 1930.
