How it Began – The Building of the Central Pacific Railroad
Like all great stories, the tale of the transcontinental railroad is about people: the visionaries, politicians, financiers, and thousands upon thousands of workers who made it possible. It was perhaps the most daring construction project the world had ever seen. This five minute documentary tells the story of how Theodore Judah surveyed, planned and financed the building of the railroad that connected the east with the west.
